"Orange Is The New Black" alum Lori Petty has been tapped to join the cast of "Gotham" Season 2.
According to Variety, Petty will play the role of Jeri, a flamboyant and enigmatic hostess who works at an underground club. The club is known for being a place that celebrates both art and mass murders. On the show, Jeri will help give clues to Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) while the latter attempts to track down his parents' murderer.
Meanwhile, "Breaking Bad" alum Michael Bowen was also cast to play the role of Patrick Malone on "Gotham" Season 2. Patrick is described as one of the deadliest killers on the show.
According to Comic Book, Patrick or Matches is a "weathered, philosophical hitman who may be the triggerman behind one of the most important crimes in Gotham's history." In the DC Comic books, Matches was described as a small-time crook who typically commits crimes to get by.
"When he dies, Batman covers the death up, and assumes the identity of Matches when needs to go undercover amongst Gotham's criminal element. He's even been thrown in prison (on purpose) as Matches Malone before," the publication noted.
In other news, FOX just dropped a new teaser for the second half of "Gotham" Season 2 which confirmed the return of Mr. Freeze.
According to Collider, the 20-second clip shows the arrival of one of Batman's sworn enemies, Victor Fries. He will eventually be called Mr. Freeze because of his special powers. The clip teases how the cold, bitter villain will operate to be able to hide within a temperature-controlled suit.
Mr. Freeze will be played by "House of Cards" alum Nathan Darrow. The actor's voice was also featured in the teaser.
"Gotham" Season 2 will return to FOX sometime in February 2016.
