"Sons of Anarchy" may have long ended with the final episode airing in December last year after seven seasons, but fans are still talking about it. For one, a secret reference to the hit series has been found in the recently released hit game "Fallout 4."
According to Movie Pilot, this "Sons of Anarchy" Easter egg in "Fallout 4" can be found as the player goes on a quest for Brotherhood Scribe Haylen at the Cambridge Police Station. The player is sent to the BADTFL Regional Office where there are a number of computer terminals containing information about the people jailed in September 2077. On the list is Opie Hurst, whose descriptions of physical features and possession match the "Sons of Anarchy" character Harry "Opie" Winston, which was portrayed by actor Ryan Hurst.
Opie Hurst stands 6'4" and weighs 235 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes, with a beard, arms and back tattoos. His possessions include one leather vest, one wool knit cap and motorcycle keys. He's been charged of "Possession of unlicensed laser."
Meanwhile, in a related SOA news, its creator Kurt Sutter has reportedly confirmed a "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off series, currently called the "Mayan Project," which will feature original SOA characters. The news came following the cancellation of "The Bastard Executioner," with the last episode airing on Nov. 17." Sutter said that the Mayan Project will take place far away from North Carolina. It will be a contemporary story rather than a prequel.
Nonetheless, the prequel is not fully out of the table. Sutter has earlier shared that he plans to do a prequel, a one-off 10- or 12-episode series, which may "begin in Nam and see John Teller and Piney and see how that relationship got created, and bring them back to the States and the obvious external dynamics that were going on with the country and the perception of the war and what an odd kind of perception these vets got when they returned home. And then have it be the development of the club, ending before we start to get too close to some of the mythology that's already been established."
