Marc Bell’s ‘Star Trek’ mansion hits market for $35 million

Marc Bell, the former CEO of FriendFinder has reportedly put his Florida, Star Trek-themed home on the market with an asking price of $35 million.

At that price, the residence is the most expensive listing of Boca Raton city. The lofty price tag is justified by its numerous luxurious features.

The most intriguing of all the amenities is the mini bar designed to replicate the "Bridge" that was the command center of the USS Bell starship is the "Star Trek" franchise.

According to Forbes, the bar is fitted with a sound system that makes a "woosh" when someone walks through the door (just like in the series). The ceilings are reportedly plastered with a thousand stars to look like the night sky.

"We built this house to have fun. We wanted the home to be hands-on and all about enjoying life," said Bell in a listing from Douglas Elliman Real Estate, Mashable reports. "My philosophy is that you only live once, so why not make the most of where you live?"

"(The home) contains the world's top rated home theaters, which has been modeled to look like an exact replica of the bridge of the 'Star Trek' Enterprise -- complete with original series sound effects for the doors and hundreds of thousands of 'stars' built into the ceiling," Elizabeth Feigenbaum, a publicist working with the agents of the home wrote in an email to CNet.com.

The listing is shared by agent Senada Adzem and Oren and Tal Alexander, the power brokers of Douglas Elliman.

Listing records of the home states that the residence is a 34,548-square-foot, single-family house, comprised of eight bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. Interiors feature marble and hardwood flooring, high ceilings and large glass doors and windows.

Two other mini bars also exist in the house. An elaborate game room, a "pirate-ship" themed bedroom and a "Call of Duty" themed video game room are its other luxury features. There are multiple living and sitting areas, a modern kitchen and a state-of-art media room make up the interiors.

Outside, the house has a pool with waterfall features and spa, a basketball court, a gigantic chess board area, ample lounging and recreation spaces and parking facility too.

The listing claims that the home is "Set within the magnificent grounds of the gated Princeton Estates in Boca Raton, midway between Palm Beach and Miami Beach, the never before on the market Bell-Estate is an iconic and beautifully designed compound by the renowned architect, Randall Stofft."
