Adventurous tourists will soon be able to enjoy a holiday underwater with the world's first underwater luxury hotel. The Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel is still under construction but has recently been awarded with a USA Patent and Trademark approval as the first hotel of its kind.
Designers of the hotel also revealed their preferred locations. Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel is to be established in Egypt, Malaysia, Hawaii and the Bahamas.
The hotel, which is technically classified as a vessel, will be submerged deep into the water at a staggering 28 feet below the surface. It will also have the ability to navigate the ocean using state-of-the-art electromechanical propulsion technology.
The man behind the ambitious project, Tony Webb, explained, "I refer to it as inner space tourism, and the new industry is now ready to launch into the ocean frontier."
Furthermore, Webb also shared about the philanthropic goal of the hotel. He said that the project plans to give back to the environment "through Biorock coral reef restoration of the world's endangered coral reefs."
As for the current status of the project, Webb shared, "We have selected a superior international location for our test site for the single unit hotel, and once the permit is issued, then the countdown clock begins."
According to him, Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel will reach out to every Caribbean island nation to offer them an opportunity to be a part of the futuristic inner space tourism industry.
"All they have to do is approve a mooring location for the Planet Ocean Underwater Hotel single unit with elevator," Webb said. "We will provide the protection, management and expansion of the most fascinating hotels on the planet."
Interested investors can purchase a single unit of the world's first underwater luxury hotel at $3 million and the entire 12-room design for $20 million.
