Earlier last month, a heartbreaking news emerged that Lawrence Kasdan will finally end his relationship with Star Wars. As per Den of Geek, "Star Wars: Han Solo" movie will be Kasdan's last "Star Wars" film.
For those of you that are not aware yet, Lawrence Kasdan is the writer responsible for "The Empire Strikes Back", "Return of the Jedi", and The latest film "The Force Awakens" in which he co-wrote with the film director, J.J. Abrahams.
As per the Hollywood Reporter, during his interview with Bild, a German tabloid, Kasdan openly shared that he's done with Star Wars as he already wrote 4 "Star Wars" movies.
"I have now made four Star Wars movies. That's more than enough."
Now that he will finally signed off, fans are eager to know what's in store for them in regards to the Han Solo film's progress. The story would revolve on his early childhood, on how he became a smuggler, and a thief. The movie would also unfold the history on how Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi found him in the cantina at Mos Eisley.
In regards to the progress of the upcoming film, almost 2,500 actors auditioned for the role. E! was able to get a sneak peek of who auditioned for the Han Solo role, and surprising as it may seem, most of them are big names in Hollywood.
The 21-year-old "The Fault in Our Stars" actor, Ansel lgort lined up and wore the Han Solo vest as he auditioned for the role.
Chandler Riggs, 16, also auditioned for the role. He played Carl Grimes, a badass zombie killer on AMC's "The Walking Dead". Riggs looks awesome with his long locks; will he be getting a haircut if ever he'll be casted?
From the world of wizardry, Draco Malfoy would want to try out a totally different genre. The 28-year-old Tom Felton also auditioned for the role.
As of the latest update, the Han Solo movie doesn't have a title yet, but it does have two of Hollywood's greatest directors. The directors of "21 Jump Street" and "The Lego Movie" Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will be working hand in hand for the film.
