Sting, the "Desert Rose" hitmaker, is reportedly selling his London Townhouse, according to some news sources.
The Real Estalker is reporting that Sting and his wife Trudie Styler have put their English home for sale, but the price shall only be disclosed if a buyer applies for details.
The residence was extensively renovated in 2010 by New York-based firm Shelton Mindel & Associates. The Architectural Digest covered the renovation. Sting and Styler reportedly loved the townhouse for its generous space.
"London homes are sometimes long and skinny and you feel as if you're going up stairs forever. This house is not skinny. It's wide and generous. It also needed a generous amount of work," Styler told the Architectural Digest in the interview.
Painstakingly renovated, Styler added that the revamping gave the home a life.
"It was a huge amount of work and a huge amount of waiting. But whatever it took, it was worth it. It's a great, great family house. It now feels as if it has a heart," she added.
The home is located in a more than 300-year neighborhood and every property on the lane belongs to the Queen. Therefore, the couple had to seek legal permits to make the renovations.
The home is an 8,500 square-feet two-floor residence, comprising of seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. The interiors feature high drywall and beamed ceilings, hardwood and stone-tiled ceilings and French windows and doors.
The home has a spacious living area, a separate dining area, a modern kitchen an upper-level music/media room and a backyard garden. The blog has some photos.
Sting and Styler also have a home in Wiltshire in England where they breed wolfhounds! The house was also featured in the Architectural Digest.
An excerpt:
"Sting was on tour in Mexico when his wife, actress and film producer Trudie Styler, called to tell him that she had found the perfect house. "He asked if I liked it," Styler remembers. "I told him I loved it. He asked why I wanted to buy it. I gave him a lot of reasons. There was silence. Then I told him that there was a three hundred-and-fifty-year-old tree in the garden. 'Buy it,' was the quick reply.""
They also have homes in New York City and Malibu.
