Pink On The Scary Side of Parenting: Letting Your Child Go

Pink was all excited about her new role as UNICEF ambassador which was awarded to the singing superstar after her trip to help people in Haiti. While the "Try" singer looks very determined and ready for her new job, she is actually scared of her own role here at home. As a mother to 4-year-old daughter, Willow. WIllow is her daughter with husband Carey Hart.

Pink knows all too well the scary side of having kids and that is none other than setting them free, an article from E! Online revealed.

The entertainment news network caught up with Pink as she attended the 11th annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Tuesday. The 36-year-old star glowed as she talked about her daughter in an exclusive interview.

Pink also had a chance to recount how scared she felt about parenting on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when host, Jimmy Fallon revealed a photo of Willow riding a motocross bike right next to her dad.

"That was right after she got done saying, 'Dad, I wish you'd move so I could go fast,'" Pink said referring to the photo as she relates her parenting worries.

She also confessed to E! News that "What scares me more is having a breakable child." She added, "She needs to be out in the world and be able to do things for herself. She's very capable, she's very physical. I started out with her where I was gonna get her a bubble and never let her out of it but I, you know, she's, she's good."

Pink and Carey Hart married in 2006 but after two years announced their separation. In 2009, the two reconciled after a year.

Pink's work for UNICEF was also influenced by Willow. After her work with under nourished kids in Haiti, she admitted that her daughter was always in her mind. The "Just Give Me a Reason" singer said that looking at a child and not being able to help them is an overpowering feeling, an article also from E! News revealed.

"When you have a child of your own and you try to imagine looking at them and not being able to feed them it does something to you," she said.
