Tiger Woods, former world number one golf champion, admitted that he has "nothing to look forward to" in his game after his back surgery recovery.
BBC stated that Woods, now 39 years old, has won 14 major wins, but now he is uncertain about his possible comeback after his nerve operations in September and October.
"I've no answer. Neither does my surgeon or physio. There's no timetable," Woods added, "There's nothing I can look forward to, nothing I can build towards. Where's the light at the end of the tunnel? I don't know," SBNation reported.
"I listen to my surgeon, I listen to my physios, and we just take it day by day Hopefully the day-by-day adds up to something positive here soon."
Woods revealed that he has spent most of his time playing video games and he has not done any form of rehabilitation work on his back. This is because of his limited physical activities.
"I walk and I walk. I'm just walking, and that's it."
He was also asked about the surgery. He said, "It's different from the other surgeries I've had in the past. For nerves there is really no timetable."
According to the BBC, Tiger Woods' last major victory was seven years ago at the US Open in 2008. Up to this date, he remains at 79 PGA Tour victories with only 11 events this year. He missed the cut at three of four majors in 2015.
Last year, Woods was able to play 14 tournaments and missed three months for the season because of his pinched nerve surgery on his back last March 2014.
Although Woods might see his current condition as dismal, he remained optimistic about his achievements and what he has done as a course player. But he still hopes that he could have another chance to play again after his recovery. He also said that he missed competing with the big guys in golf.
"For my 20 years out here I achieved a lot. I think pretty much everything beyond this will be gravy. If that's all it entails then I've had a pretty good run," he said, "But I'm hoping that's not it."
"I'm hoping I can get out here and compete against these guys. I really do miss it."
Tiger Woods has been named as one of the United States captain Davis Love III's assistants for this coming 2016 Ryder Cup. He shares his high hopes to make it on the team. The last time he played in Ryder Cups was in 2012 under Love's captaincy.
Meanwhile, Rory Mcllroy expressed his support to the former world champion through social media. He posted, "Wishing my idol and friend a speedy recovery. Golf without him doesn't bear thinking about. Hope to see you back on the course soon @tigerwoods."
