Before "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 goes for a winter break, the mid-season finale episode will still have a lot to offer including the battle between the agents and Hydra, which will be located in another planet.
In "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 episode 9, Coulson (Clark Gregg) followed Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), Ward (Brett Dalton) and several Hydra agents through the portal to Maveth. According to We Got This Covered, both of the parties will head to the alien planet where Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) was trapped. It is also expected that Coulson will go head to head with Ward (Bret Dalton) in the next episode. Some speculate that the episode will end with Coulson and Ward being trapped in the alien planet, and this could force the two to settle their differences in order for them to survive.
International Business Times reports that this battle will change Coulson's world forever, but there are hints that he will be alive even after the battle. It was said that after Coulson wakes up, he will be reunited with Fitz, and they will be taking the ultimate risk to keep the horrible creature on the alien planet.
While Coulson and other agents are busy fighting the creature in another planet, another battle will ensue back on earth as Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and her team of Inhumans fight to keep Hydra at bay. It is expected that this will give viewers a glimpse of the future events in the show next year, when it comes back from its break.
For the mid-season finale, the viewers can expect the return of some of the characters like Andrew (Blair Underwood) and Rosalind (Constance Zimmer) who supposedly died in episode 9. Some believe that she could appear in Coulson's hallucination or dreams.
"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3, episode 10 will air on Tuesday on ABC.
