Taylor Swift currently on the road all performing in the best concert halls for her 1989 World Tour. Taylor is spending a short vacation in Hamilton Island with her crew of 125 people.
The "Bad Blood"' singer was taken to the island by her private plane on a Tuesday and checked in Qualia resort which was the also the accommodation of choice of visiting celebrities Oprah Winfrey and Johnny Depp, as reported by Daily Mail UK.
Celebrities are envied for their 5-star accommodations and even questioned for their luxurious special requests but Swift's request has been dubbed most outrageous by Michelle Tapper, a Sunshine Queensland Correspondent.
Tapper and her cameraman, Luke Miers, were kicked off the island by security guards. She told Courier Mail that Swift's stay in the island is causing a lockdown. The reporter goes on saying, "I've never encountered anything like this before in 20 years of journalism. This is a pretty outrageous media ban made for just one person."
In her recent Instagram post, Swift posted a picture of her and her 1989 World Tour crew with a caption, "So stoked to be able to take my band and crew on a vacation at the end of a long and wonderful tour."
Daily Telegraph Australia speculates that one of the reasons why Taylor Swift had the entire Hamilton Island on a media lockdown is her upcoming 26th birthday celebration on December 13. There are rumors that this birthday bash is going to be star studded. Famous celebrities like Selena Gomez and Hugh Jackman are expected to be on the guest list. Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Oprah Winfrey are also on separate tours in Australia at the moment.
Swift makes a statement in response to the rumors. She says, "Aussie press, I love your enthusiasm but my birthday isn't for 2 weeks," Swift sweetly clarified, "and it'll be a quiet one this year. Let's take it down a notch."
The "Bad Blood" singer will be performing in the island with a small crowd to be made part of Nova's Red Room concert series.
After the short vacation, Swift will be on the road again on Brisbane, December 5, to continue her tour in Australia.
