'Suicide Squad' Spoilers & Premiere Date: Joker's Role Not Limited to Flashbacks, Could be the Major Villain; Tim Seely To Be Part Of 'New Suicide Squad' Comics

In the upcoming film "Suicide Squad," it was revealed that Jared Leto's Joker might have more than just a flashback scene role as it was speculated that his craziness could make him the team's major enemy.

According to Movie News Guide, many speculate that the Squad of supervillains will fight the Joker at some point, and it is expected that the Joker will be doing something so much more than his usual antics.

DC fans know that Joker is a major troublemaker. He has looted banks, caused a number of explosions in various places and killed major figures in a city, but fans could reportedly expect that things will be up a notch for Joker's evilness in the new movie. Even Leto confirmed that his character will take things to the next level in "Suicide Squad."

In the trailer that was released earlier, Joker can be seen torturing Dr. Harleen Quinzel who will later be called Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie. Aside from being part of Harley Quinn's past, in the trailer, Joker can also be seen heading on a heist which will reportedly be a major problem for the squad. Many speculate that in the scene where Deadshot (Will Smith) says, "Let's go save the world" refers to fighting Joker.

Meanwhile, Comic Book Resources reports that writer Tim Seely will be part of the new comic series titled "New Suicide Squad." Seely hinted that comic book fans can expect a darker tone on the story and also some possible deaths of major characters. Seely admitted that he is not familiar with the original Squad and that he was given the opportunity to write something with his own version.

The movie "Suicide Squad" will premiere on August 5, 2016.
