Is Taylor Swift Trying To Appease Angry Conservationists By Taking A Selfie With A Bird?

Is Taylor Swift trying to appease the angry conservationists after the incident that happened at the New Zealand Beach weeks ago by taking a selfie with a sulphur-crested cockatoo at Hamilton Island?

On November 27, Swift and her crew were criticized by conservationists for allegedly endangering the New Zealand dotterel birds nesting at the beach in Auckland. The production company was working to film a new music video for Swift's album.

According to a report published by the Daily Mail, Swift and her team were instructed to use two vehicles on the beach. However, the film crew allegedly ignore the restriction and came up with a dozen of vans and four-wheel drive vehicles.

This reckless action that Swift's Company did sparked outrage from New Zealand conservationists who are protecting the breeding ground of the endangered dotterel bird.

Despite the statement released by the Company, denying that there were no dotterels harmed during the making of the video, conservationists are still disappointed for not following the policy, and the condition set.

Now, Swift shares her selfie with a crested cockatoo. Is this, in a way, an apology to what happened at the New Zealand beach? This could be considered a step to show the people all over the world that she is incapable of harming anyone or anything. Perhaps she wants people to see that she is also a responsible person when it comes to interacting and protecting wildlife.

According to Mashable, Swift is currently staying on Hamilton Island for her next exclusive concert which will be hosted by Nova Network. Mashable is waiting for the announcement of Taylor's wildlife sanctuary as well as her next tour guest, the unidentified rare bird.

Moreover, there were rumors circulating that the singer may also be celebrating her annual birthday party on December 13 on the said island.
