Google's New Tool Allows Developers To Train Robots To Recognize Your Mood

Google's new vision program that can make robots recognize human feelings could turn into the new generation of smarter and more advanced products and services.

Google recently announced in their blog post about the test version of the Vision Application Programming Interfaces that let developers train robots, toy, and appliances to recognize human expression and mood.

According to the Time Magazine, the API lets the developer build software that can interact with Google cloud-based smarts in the near-real-time. In the future, people can expect that any device in their room can send their image to Google computers for information gathering purpose.

The devices could also be trained to review various images or emotions that you are projecting and save it in its memory. So, the next time you execute an action or facial expression, the device can easily recognize it.

With that new application program interface (API), developers can anytime apply tons of machine learning at home or at any working applications. Machine learning is known as artificial intelligence which enables computers to recognize people, words, and things. This would apply to Google's new API.

The new application was made possible through Google's or Microsoft MSFT-0.02 percent or Amazon AMZN-0.45 percent public clouds massive compute power. With this firepower, any data can be crunched and served up as needed by the users. So, don't be the surprise if one day your vacuum cleaner will be able to identify if you are in a crappy mood.

The new technology will also benefit parents by flagging inappropriate images for kids to see and for businesses to identify corporate logos to better narrow down the searches for customers.

The invention of the new API could mean something in the future. It could be a way to promote and deliver better services to the users.
