"Family Guy" fans have long been waiting for an official movie of the iconic cartoons and after waiting for a long time, creator Seth MacFarlane hinted that there might be a movie being made.
According to screencrush.com, Seth answered a fan asking about a "Family Guy" movie and the creator said "RT @GingeThink: @SethMacFarlane when are you going to stop fannying around and actually do a Family Guy movie? ?? // Soon. Soon."
The animated series has previous projects that were expected to turn out as movies but ended up just as one of the episodes. These projects include "It's a Trap!", "Blue Harvest", "Something, Something, Something Dark Side" and "Griffin: The Untold Story."
Seth had already made a statement about a Family Guy movie way back in 2012. He said "We do know what the 'Family Guy' movie will be. 'The Simpsons' movie, I thought, was hilarious, but the one criticism I would have is that it's a story they probably could've done on TV. There could've been an episode that had that plotline. That's the challenge with animation. You pretty much can do any story you want, so what is the reason for the movie? We finally hit on the answer to that question, and it will be something that would be impossible to do on TV."
According to tvline.com, if ever a Family Guy movie will indeed happen, it woukd not be the first movie ever of the animated series. The "Griffin: The Untold Story" was a special episode that was directly released into DVDs and later shown on TV divided on to three episodes.
As Seth hinted that there will be a movie "soon", the fans keep on wondering how soon is Seth's "soon?"
