Steven Spielberg, the award-winning director/producer, has listed his East Hamptons pad for $24.5 million, some sources report.
According to The New York Post, Spielberg purchased the property for $20 million in 2008 and tore it down. It has remained vacant eversince. The estate is spread across a 3.2-acre plot and has enough room for a pool and a tennis court.
It was last listed with Douglas Elliman, reports The Real Deal. There was a traditional 4,500-square feet, six bedroom-five bathroom traditional residence when it was listed. This was the house Spielberg tore down.
Located at 94 Apaquogue Road, the estate has a large pond, rolling greens and its last listing description noted that the estate offered ample opportunity for expansion and building.
"Magnificent 3-acre waterfront property with beautiful old trees in the most desirable south-of-the-highway location," the listing read earlier.
Currently, the listing broker or agency remains unknown.
Last month, Spielberg put his Malibu home up for lease asking $125,000 a month. The residence is a 7,237-square feet home, sitting on a huge 1.08 acre lot. Comprising of seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the place is a serene abode, tucked away on prime beach-front land, perfect for a holiday setting.
