AI systems in 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' Will Be Explored During The PlayStation Experience This Weekend

It has been confirmed that Activision will have a presentation on AI systems in "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" during the The PlayStation Experience that will take place in Moscone West, San Francisco, California on December 5-6.

According to GameSpot it will be during a panel called "Call of Duty: Black Ops III: Unlocking the Potential of AI," where in the developers at Treyarch will talk about the "fundamentals of artificial intelligence" and explain how it will change the future of games.

Activision's Scott Lowe says in a PlayStation Blog that A.I. in games should not be ignored because "A.I. systems can fundamentally alter the gameplay experience." He also mentions that in creating "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's" four-player cooperative campaign, Treyarch had to completely reconsider and reengineer its A.I. technology with respect to how AI stimulates combat, storytelling, and level design through the game, without changing the movielike appeal the Call of Duty titles are famous for.

For those who will go the PlayStation event this weekend, the panel will be held on Saturday, December 5, starting at 4 PM PST / 7 PM EST at the Moscone West Hall, third floor.

The blog has also stated that the speakers will include, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Senior Designer, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Senior Software Engineer Sumeet Jakatdar, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Lead Animator Yanick Lebel and Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Lead Writer Craig Houston.

Those who cannot physically go to the said event, they need not despair as this panel and other events will be viewable live on Twitch. Besides the panel discussed above, according to GameSpot, a panel for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" has been confirmed to have a spot.

Ticket prices for The PlayStation Experience 2015 is at $75 for two days, $45 for Saturday only attendance and $40 for Sunday only.
