After going on a short break, "Bones" Season 11 will be back to air its two-hour mid-season finale which will feature Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) going undercover as cowboys.
According to Christian Today, the couple will go undercover and participate in a shooting competition as part of their investigation on a murder case in which the suspect is believed to be a gun shooting expert. In the promotional trailer for "Bones" Season 11 episode 9, the two do not go undercover as a couple but as total strangers, and Brennan can be seen talking her way into a duel.
Meanwhile, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) will discuss their plans for their future family. Elsewhere, Camille (Tamara Taylor) will grow closer to a photographer named Sebastian Kohl (guest star Gil Darnell). Some speculate that Kohl might become a recurring character in the future if the show delves more into his relationship with Camille.
In episode 10 which will air right after episode 9, the team will investigate a murder of a police officer and will feature guest star Sara Rue as behavioral analyst Leslie Green. She will help identify a killer.
In other news, actor Michael Ausiello may have hinted that there could be a death of a major character in the upcoming finale episode. According to Venture Capital Post, the 43-year-old actor revealed that one of the series regulars will suffer an "unimaginable loss." He added that the scene might happen during the two-hour mid-season finale which will air next week. However, he did not reveal more details about the circumstances of the event or the name of the character.
"Bones" Season 11 episode 9 titled "The Cowboy in the Contest" will air on Dec. 9 and will be immediately followed by episode 10.
