Microsoft will be releasing a very affordable phone that goes back to basic.
While the market is now quite saturated with smartphones, the new Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM from Microsoft will be released with features quite the opposite of what the market expects. According to Venture Beat, just like most smartphones the Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM will both have camera's that can be used for selfies. And like the other costlier phones these two will have internet connectivity and will allow users to post and share stuff on social media.
But aside from the budget price tag of $55, the biggest difference is that these two phones, which are lightweight at 2.8-inch and covered by an aluminum back, will be featuring a full-function physical keypad, according to Vine Report. The phone is expected get its sales from those who want a secondary phone or those who simply don't want touch phones. And there is more. These tiny phones have 2 MP camera's front and back and an LED flash that will allow the user to take pictures even under poor lighting conditions.
But even though these phones are considerably cheap and comes with expandable storage up to 32 GB, internet browsing options, apps and games, according to TXN you can get the same features from the cheapest Lumia smartphone which only costs around $15. Moreover, it was also reported that there are Android devices like the SWIPE Konnect 3 and Kenxinda K528 that cost less than the upcoming Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM from Microsoft. What the online site is saying is that this "dumbphone" actually costs more than low-end smartphone.
However, one must remember that these two new phones are aimed at those who, at this age, still prefer phones with actual keypads. The Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM from Microsoft are expected to be out by the end of 2015.
