In time for the next sequel of "Fifty Shades of Grey," one of the rumored characters who is still unknown is the portrayal of Christian Grey's former submissive, Leila Williams. Inquisitr details that "Pretty Little Liars" actress Lucy Hale is one of the talked about actresses who may be getting the spot for the role.
According to the article, Lucy Hale's recent photoshoot with Paper magazine seems to indicate that she is ready for a "sexier" and fiercer role. In her photoshoot, Hale was holding a bondage rope in glared neon lighting and another wherein she is completely tied up in a sexy one-piece striped suit.
Apart from this, speculations of her playing the part grew when the tagline for the shoot was released with Hale's comments that somewhat relates to "Fifty Shades of Grey."
"Going to the dark side," is what the tagline hints.
"There are plenty of hidden secrets about me," Hale says.
"Those [secrets] will remain hidden," the PLL actress even added.
Leila Williams' character in "Fifty Shades Darker" is very important and will play some key notes in the storyline. As noted in the books of E.L. James, Williams' character is a past submissive of Grey which had a relationship with him for two and a half years. And just like Anastasia Steele, Williams' is a brunette with dark, brown eyes.
The role of Leila Williams seems to fit the features of Hale but is the actress ready for the part? It was revealed earlier this year that Hale once auditioned for "Fifty Shades of Grey" which the 26-year-old actress said to be an "awkward" experience.
Hale said in the interview with Entertainment Weekly that her audition for "Fifty Shades of Grey" were "unlike any audition I have ever done before in my life."
"I think any girl in my demographic would have loved to be a part of it."
"It took me out of my comfort zone."
