'19 Kids And Counting' May Have A Reboot If 'Counting On' Gets High Ratings; Josh Duggar's Scandal Used As Ploy

"19 Kids and Counting" spinoff "Counting On" may be picked up by TLC as a regular reality TV show if it proves to be successful. The spinoff will have three episodes which will kick off on Dec. 13, and it will focus on Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard as well as their respective families.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, TLC doesn't want to waste any more money on the Duggar family who once starred in the hit reality TV show "19 Kids and Counting." After Josh Duggar confessed to sexually molesting at least five girls when he was still a teenager, the show started losing advertisers. As a result, TLC decided to axe the show for good. However, if the network sees that the Duggar family still has a huge following even after Josh's scandal, they will reconsider working with the family again.

Meanwhile, even before "Counting On" airs, a Facebook group called "Take the Pledge to Boycott All Discovery Channels" urged fans to not watch "Counting On."

"Take the pledge on Dec. 13, 20, and 27. Join us in boycotting all Discovery network all Discovery channels for the one hour they are airing the TLC show 'Jill & Jessa: Counting On' on 8/7 c. This family minimized childhood sexual abuse showing victims they do not matter," the post reads.

In other news, the group believes that TLC is simply making money out of Duggar's sexual molestation and cheating scandals. Even though "19 Kids and Counting" was cancelled a few months back, fans believe that the network also lost a lot because of Josh Duggar. With this, it is believed that TLC wants to make money out of his scandal by including his story and Anna Duggar's reaction in the three-part show.

"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" will air on TLC on Dec. 13, at 8 p.m. ET.
