‘The Vampire Diaries’ Star Ian Somerhalder Rejoices After Rumors Spread That 'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 Will Be Cancelled?

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 star Ian Somerhalder is reportedly over the moon after he heard that "Sleepy Hollow" may be cancelled by Fox after Season 3.

According to TV Line, the series may be cancelled because the series was moved to the highly dreaded Friday timeslot starting 2016. There are rumors that any show that is moved to a Friday timeslot is in danger of being axed. Additionally, the ratings for "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 haven't been impressive.

Meanwhile, the finale episode of the series garnered a slew of negative reactions from fans who didn't like the idea that Abbie Mills may have just been killed off.

In other news, it is a known fact that Somerhalder's wife Nikki Reed stars in "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 as Betsy. There were previous rumors that the actor doesn't like the fact that his wife does sexy scenes on the show.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Somerhalder and Reed have been having marital issues because the former already wants to have children. Reed, on the other hand, is taking her role in the FOX show very seriously that's why she doesn't want to have kids yet.

"They are arguing a lot. Nikki is ambitious and worries about derailing her career if she gets pregnant now," a source told the publication.

Now that "Sleepy Hollow" is in danger of being axed, Somerhalder is reportedly looking forward to spending more time with his wife. In fact, a source close to the actor said that the first thing that they will do is to try and have kids.

Unfortunately, "The Vampire Diaries" is also in danger of being axed after Season 7. The series was recently bumped off from its usual Thursday timeslot to Friday. If both "The Vampire Diaries" and "Sleepy Hollow" are be axed, Somerhalder and Reed may have a lot of time in their hands with each other and start focusing on having children.
