Fans are looking forward for the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" but said sequel wasn't confirmed by Rockstar yet. Recent reports reveal that it is possible that the massively poplar game will come out soon.
Said report started in a subreddit which is devoted to the radio show, Opie & Anthony. One user claims to be Danny Ross and started giving answers to fans. Most questions were about his job at the radio show but there was one user who inquired about the next game for release from Rockstar.
User thndr87 asked what Rockstar have on deck and Ross gave a cryptic answer saying, "Really? Dumbass. Really? Two." The answer was interpreted by many as "Red Dead Redemption Two." Although it isn't clear, it may also appear as a confirmation due to the strange phrasing.
But some users are not convinced since we are not certain if the poster is indeed Danny Ross or a mere fake account like what some fans of Opie and Anthony did before who posted on Reddit while impersonating some people that are involved in the show. The credibility of the previous Rockstar employee is questionable, iDigital Times reported.
In the thread, Ross also said that he no longer works with Rockstar and only worked on GTA 5 for the company. He said, "Nah I'm just playing. GTA6 is up next but they're waiting for more Michael Mann movies to rip off first."
The next "Red Dead Redemption" is technically known as Red Dead Two, as Red Dead Revolver which is the first entry in the series and it would appear odd to call a third series with the number "two."
While "Grand Theft Auto 6" is currently being developed and is expected for release between 2018 to 2020, no credible news about a sequel of "Red Dead Redemption" was released.
