‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Update: New Trailer Shows Characters’ Civilian Personalities; Batman in Doubt of Superman’s Powers?

Earlier this week, a new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer was released. The short clip showed Superman harshly unmasking Batman in a place that seems to be a jail cell underground. Warner Bros. and DC have opted to make a more detailed preview of the upcoming film, giving DC Comics fans a better look at the "greatest gladiator match in the history of the world."

The full "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer was initially shown on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Dec. 2, Wednesday. This one is the newest footage of the movie since the first trailer was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con in July. The preview shows the first sneak peek at the characters' civilian alternate personalities in action.

As the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" story goes, Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) shows up as a reporter at a red carpet event in Gotham City. There, he catches sight of Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) for the first time as Batman's alter ego emerges from a black Aston Martin. Finally, when the heroes find themselves alone, Kent does not hold back from asking, "What is your position on the Bat Vigilante in Gotham?" Wayne then gives him a very ambiguous, teasing smile.

Two previews for the upcoming superhero film have already rolled out, setting forth the conflict between the Kryptonian Kal-El and Bruce Wayne, Entertainment Weekly reported. The competition arises from the aftermath of the deadly Battle of Metropolis in the "Man of Steel" released in 2013.

"Civil liberties are being trampled on in your city," Kent laid out. "People living in fear... He think's he's above the law."

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is expected to highlight Superman's story. The previous trailer set out a couple of explanations for Batman's extreme distress: the first one being the collateral desolation in the Metropolis and the second being his doubts about Superman's boundless powers.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released in March 2016.
