After months of speculation that rapper-entrepreneur Dr. Dre must have bought the humongous Los Angeles home of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen - it has now been confirmed that the "Beats" co-founder had dropped $40 million on the property.
The Los Angeles Times confirmed the deal noting that Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency represented Dr. Dre in the transaction. Stephen Shapiro and Rappaport shared the home's listing.
Last month, several tabloids reported that Dr. Dre was almost closing on the residence that he purchased with his wife Nicole.TMZ reported that Dr.Dre "fell in love" with the eco-friendly mansion and made a solid offer beating all the other bids that poured in for the home.
Bundchen and Brady put the home on the open market for $50 million. They moved into the place just a year ago after spending a lavish $20 million on refurbishments. They snagged the property for $11 million in 2008, opening its doors to the Architectural Digest in 2013.
"Gisele and I have eight sisters between us, and there are lots of kids. We built this house as a sanctuary for our family - a place where we can enjoy being together," Brady told the publication.
"It was important for us to plant roots for our family, and since we both enjoy the creative process, we decided to start from scratch."
Listing records of the home state that it is a 13,890-square-feet, multi-winged single-family home - comprising of five bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Designed by famous architect Richard Landry, the home is a luxurious French Chateau boasting of beamed ceilings, mixed flooring, antique doors and marble fireplaces.

The couple also owns a $14 million condo in the posh One Madison building in Manhattan. The residence has beautiful views of the city, which "allows Brady to look down on Gotham as Batman," according to Page Six.
