Annie Leibovitz, the famous celebrity photographer, has reportedly purchased a duplex condo in the Brentmore 88 Central Park West building in New York City for 411.25 million. She is now neighbors with "Taxi Driver" actor Robert De Niro.
News of the purchase comes just months after Leibovitz sold her West Village townhouse for $28.5 million. According to the New York Daily News, Lauren Bush Lauren, President George Bush's niece, was the buyer of the residence. Leibovitz reportedly used the money to pay off bills from unpaid mortgages and lawsuits.
Leibovitz found herself in a deep $24 million debt from unpaid taxes and mortgage liens. ACG bank sued her in 2009 for non-repayment of debts but she managed to negotiate an extension from the company, Bloomberg reported.
The photographer is doing a lot better now. Leibovitz bought the new duplex residence for a discount. Listing records show the home was last asking $12.5 million. The Daily Mail reports that the home was price chopped from its original $14 million. Leibovitz snagged it for lesser than its discounted asking price.
Listing records at Streeteasy state that the home has three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. Floor plans reveal the entrance opening into a large gallery that leads directly into the spacious living room. The dining room, a staff quarter and a kitchen complete the lower level. The upper level contains the master suite and two other bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
Interiors of the home boast of hardwood flooring, French doors and windows and drywall and tray ceilings. Building amenities include concierge and doorman services.
"Sophistication and space abound in this gracious 3-4 bedroom Central Park West duplex," the listing reads.

Robert De Niro reportedly lives on the fifth floor of the 12-story building. De Niro and his wife renovated the apartment in 2012, reports Curbed.
Leibovitz is famous for her portraits of a naked pregnant Demi Moore and a dressed Yoko Ono embracing a nude John Lennon. She was declared a 'living legend' by the Library of Congress. She recently photographed musician Sting, who has his London townhouse for sale, for Vanity Fair magazine.
