After the death of their mother Lily Salvatore (Annie Wersching), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) will continue to carry on with their plan searching for Julian (Todd Lasance) in the mid-season finale of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7.
In "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 8, Lily had to make a decision about who to choose, her sons or Valerie Tulle (Elizabeth Blackmore). In the end, she made the ultimate sacrifice when she staked her heart thinking that Julian will die with her since a spell links them together. But Julian revealed that they are already unlinked and took off to escape Stefan and Damon's plan to kill him.
According to International Business Times, the Salvatore brothers will be in search for Julian to kill him once and for all but the report hinted that the two will be in conflict with each other as Stefan will be forced to take matters into his own hands. But this will reportedly not go well and it will be the beginning of a terrible chain of events that will change their lives forever.
On other news, it was also revealed that Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) will be starting a new friendship with Heretic Nora Hildegard (Scarlett Byrne) as the former asks the latter for help when she manages a holiday toy drive at Whitmore College. Elsewhere, Wetpaint reported that the teaser of "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 9 shows Caroline's (Candace King) growing baby bump.
In the previous episode, Stefan finally discovered that Caroline is carrying Alaric's (Matt Davis) babies but he told her that he will never leave her despite the circumstances. In the new episode, it was reported that Alaric will be worried that Caroline's pregnancy is affecting her in a negative way.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 9 will air on December 10 on The CW.
