It has been a tough season for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Hydra continued its onslaught. After Hydra kidnapped Fitz and Simmons, Grant Ward took this opportunity to take Fitz through the portal to Maveth.
This prompted reliable Coulson to jump into the portal so he could follow them. On the meantime, Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie is now acting S.H.I.E.L.D. director and is starting to go mad with a lot of responsibilities and troubles on his plate. Bobbi and Hunter told him about the situation and along with the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. they assess the situation and tried to come up with a plan.
On the other hand, Coulson is nearing his breaking point as S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra battle. As this battle spells the inevitable change in Coulson's world, Daisy and her team fight to keep the power of Hydra at bay. This is their first field mission and Daisy leads Joey, Lincoln and other members of S.H.I.E.L.D. on an assault.
Coulson is worried but he and Fitz take the risk as they place themselves in danger on an alien planet. Will the show's favorite characters ever come out of this season alive? There are still a lot of dangers that lie ahead on S.H.I.E.L.D.'s battlefronts. Fans are praying for the safety of their favorite heroes but it is definitely hard to imagine that there won't be any.
