Yankees' CC Sabathia lists Fairfield home for $1.5 million

Carsten Charles "CC" Sabathia, the New York Yankees pitcher, has reportedly put his home in Fairfield, Calif., for sale with an asking price of $1.5 million.

The Los Angeles Times broke the news of the sale noting that Cathleen Rojas of RE/MAX Gold represents the home.

Public records show that Sabathia and his wife, Amber, purchased the place for $1.06 million in 2004. It was custom-built that year.

The house also featured on MTV Cribs in 2007.

The single-family house spans an area of 4,102 square feet and comprises of three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Interiors of the residence feature tiled and hardwood flooring, drywall vaulted ceilings and French doors and windows.

There are formal dining and living areas along with a family room, an office, a kitchen with a breakfast island and a screening room with a bar area as well. Outside, the home has a huge pool with waterfall features and a spa. A cabana and a barbecue area also exists. A separate parking garage is also available.

The listing (has pictures) of the home reads:

According to the Realtor Blog, the couple owns two more properties in the Fairfield area. They currently live in New York City with their four children and their home was recently featured on the new video series started by Coldwell Banker and MLB.com titled "Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage."
