Fans of the hit Netflix series 'Narcos,' which talks about the life of the notorious Columbian drug lord Pablo Escobar, have been waiting for Season 2 with heightened anticipation. Season 1 was so fast paced that it narrated almost 20 years of the drug lord's reign so fans are speculating what the producers will do with Season 2.
According to Christian Today, Brazilian actor Wagner Moura who portrays Escobar on the show has recently participated in a Reddit 'Ask Me Anything,' and he allegedly spilled details about the 2nd season of the hit series.
During his AMA he said that he enjoys working with the cast but he especially likes working with Juan Pablo Raba who plays the character Gustavo Gaviria. He revealed that the cast and crew are currently working on Season 2 and that he particularly enjoyed shooting some scenes. He writes, "I really enjoyed doing the last scenes in La Catedral during the final episodes...In those episodes it was a different Pablo, he had changed... and that aims to what we are doing in the second season." Though the actor did not specify what changes happened to his character, a number of theories have surfaced as to what the producers have in store for their viewers.
Moura also talked about having to learn his character's accent. The Brazilian actor is not completely proficient with the Spanish language which is quite of a big deal for some viewers. But he said he would rather focus on the other aspects of getting into character rather than dwelling on having an authentic Spanish accent.
Gaining weight is part of being in character for Moura because his character died with so much weight. In his AMA, he said that he needs to maintain his relatively heavy weight even if it is not healthy for him. He shares, "Unfortunately I can't lose it, when Pablo died he was pretty fat so I guess I will just keep on eating delicious Colombian food!"
There is no official announcement from Neflix yet but according to reports, Season 2 might be released late summer or fall of 2016.
