The Upper East Side penthouse of "Ol Blue Eyes" Frank Sinatra has received another price-chop and has been re-listed at a little under $5 million - $4.99 million.
The penthouse in The Edgewater building at 530 East, 72nd Street - first came on the market with a $7.7 million price tag in August 2012. Failing to find a buyer, the price tag received another discount in December last year to list at $5.59 million and now again; the price has been reduced by $600,000.
Sinatra helped design the place and lived in the home from 1961 to 1972.
According to the listing records at Douglas Elliman, the residence is a 3,200-square-foot, four bed, four and a half bathroom home. One of its striking features is the glass staircase, which are 'apparently' the same ones Apple uses in its stores.
The listing calls it a "glittering grotto in the sky." The penthouse didn't just serve as a resting place for the Jazz crooner but was also visited by Marilyn Monroe, President Kennedy and Andy Warhol among others.
"Sammy Davis, Jr. purportedly threw empty champagne glasses out the window. President Kennedy dropped by as did Marilyn Monroe; Mia Farrow lived there while married to Sinatra and probably twisted the night away with Peter Lawford and Dean Martin, frequent visitors, while filming the iconic movie, "Rosemary's Baby"," the listing reads.
Floor plans of the triplex apartment reveal that the entry opens into a foyer on the main level that has the dining area, the living room, three guest bedrooms and the kitchen. The upper two levels house the master bedroom's lounge and the master bedroom in that order.
The master bedroom's lounge has a bar area and dressing room flanked by a terrace. The master bedroom itself has an office. A ground-level maid's room is also available, which is being sold separately.
The building that the penthouse sits atop is also one of the most sought after addresses in New York City. Amenities include "24/7 doorman and concierge service and a live-in super."

Another Californian retreat, called the "Villa Maggio," of the "Fly me to the Moon" crooner is also up for grabs. The place is currently asking $4.4 million. Check out that home, here.
Meanwhile, a Frank Sinatra movie might be in the making. According to The Chicago Tribune, the movie could be based on the Sinatra memoir "Mr.S."
