'Bastion,' 'Bit.Trip' and 'Nuclear Throne' Coming to Sony PlayStation Vita and PS4 with Support for Cross Buy

Sony has revealed three upcoming game titles for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita at 2015 PlayStation Experience (PSX) in San Francisco, California last weekend.

According to Polygon, the action adventure RPG "Bastion" is coming to Sony's handheld console, the PlayStation Vita. Developed by the independent company Supergiant Games, the game was released in 2011 by publisher Warner Bros. It was announced during last year's PlayStation Experience. Now it is available of $2.99. Besides the cheap price tag, it also supports cross-buy for PS4 which means buying the Vita version will allow players to get it on PS4 for free.

According to Sony's Nick Suttner, who is part of the PlayStation Developer Relations team, "Bastion is the cheapest it's ever been on a console."

Next, according to IGN, "Bit.Trip HD" is also available on PlayStation Vita with support for cross buy at a great price of $10. What makes "Bit.Trip HD" a good deal is that it is a collection of the first six Bit.Trip titles from Choice Provisions, previously known as Gaijin Games. The simple game presented in "bits" or the pixelated form is great and addictive.

Shooter game Nuclear Throne was also confirmed coming to the Sony consoles. According to Polygon, it is currently on early access in Steam and now it is available on PS4 and Vita. Those who attended the PlayStation Experience have a special treat from Sony. They will be receiving copies of "Nuclear Throne" and "The Bit.Trip" for free. To redeem all they have to do is download the PlayStation Experience App and navigate to the rewards section of the game.

As previously reported, Sony will not be making any more big-budget titles for the hand held console anymore. Many thought the Vita was eventually going to die a natural death as Sony has shifted its focus on PlayStation 4 and VR. With this new report that three great games have been made available on the handheld console, it only means Sony is not killing Vita at all.
