"Ni No Kuni II: Revanant Kingdom" will be released on Playstation 4 as announced in this year's Playstation Experience keynote.
The announcement made fans of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli excited. The game, which is a sequel to "Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch" for PlayStation 3 back in 2013, is an enhanced version of the original game from Nintendo DS.
Japanese animation company Studio Ghibli teams up with Level-5 to bring the game to Playstation 4. To return for the story are Level-5 head Akihiro Hino, artist Yoshiyuki Momose, and Hayao Miyazaki‘s longtime collaborator Joe Hisaishi who will work together for the general direction, character designs, and music, respectively, Rocket News reported.
“While the announcement trailer at PlayStation Experience showed the first look at the game, we have a special treat for all of you coming soon, in the way of a Director’s Cut version of the announcement trailer which features more than a minute of new footage showcasing even more of the great animation, characters, and story for Revenant Kingdom,” publisher Bandai Namco said according to Playstation Blog.
Meanwhile, the Ni No Kuni trailer was also released in a way of a Director's Cut that added excitement to the gamers. The clip shows a new cast of characters featuring a fresh storyline. One familiar locale Ding Dong Dale is seen in the trailer. The story is about King Evan Pettywhisker being ousted by some characters who are wearing metal Mouseketeer helmets, led by a grinning anthropomorphic rat. Roland, a “visitor from another world” will help the king.
Prior to the release of the original trailer, an erroneous YouTube video was posted claiming to be an announcement trailer but it was corrected by Sony that it isn't an official trailer. But the video is a preview of the upcoming Ni-Oh release for PS4 that was first announced in 2004.
The trailer showcases impressive graphics and sweeping soundtrack. The release date of the game was not yet released but gamers are expecting to see more trailers and updates for "Ni No Kuni II: Revanant Kingdom."
