‘Beach Boy’ Mike Love Selling Pebble Beach Home for $5.79 million

Mike Love, the lead singer and one of the song writers of "The Bach Boys" band, has reportedly put up his home in Pebble Beach, Calif., for sale with an asking price of $5.79 million.

Love has been trying to sell the home for quite some time now. He first listed it in 2008 and gave the price tag two discounts before de-listing it in 2010. He then put the home back up in 2011 again, reducing the price thrice until 2012, and removing it eventually.

It surfaced for a brief period in January 2013 to vanish again and is now back, with a lesser asking price.

In 2012, when he re-listed the home, his wife Jacqueline told The Wall Street Journal that they were selling due to "lifestyle changes" and as their children were all grown ups, they wanted to do away with the property.

According to the Zillow Blog, their main residence is near Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Listing records of the home state that the Tuscan-style home is an 8,995-square-feet single-family house, comprising of seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. Sitting on a 1.06 acre lot, the place is a three-storey residence with sophisticated interiors.

The home boasts of hardwood flooring, high vaulted ceilings and large glass doors and windows. It has a formal living and dining area, a modern kitchen with a mid-rise island, a theater and a wine room. The master suite provides ultimate privacy. There is a guest unit with a kitchen and office.

Outside, the home has gardens and ample recreational area. There is an attached 3-car parking space on the property.

Mike Love had bad press coverage through the years, partly for his notorious Rock & Roll Hall of Fame speech and his public feud with "Rolling Stones" frontman Mick Jagger. In a 2013 interview with The Guardian he explained:

"I think there are a lot of fallacies about me, things that need to be rectified. I'm working on a book that will lay rest to some of them. I know what I did and didn't do. People say the Beatles were John Lennon. What is Paul McCartney? Chopped liver? But everyone has their own favourite members whose creativity they gravitate to. That's normal."
