While it was believed that the only way to make an Apple device faster if it "hangs" is by restarting it, an iPhone enthusiast shared his knowledge on how to solve this problem without the effort of restarting it.
After the iPhone invention, Apple's iOS mobile operating system has been known all over the world for its top quality and efficiency in managing the device's memory in the background. Theoretically, users having iPhones and/or iPads don't have to stop apps, and those fits that computers make when they're overtasked won't occur.
Those problems mentioned above may not happen frequently because of the operating system's superior application memory management, but in reality, users are aware that Apple's mobile devices have a tendency to hang, according to Time.
To easily solve these problems, iPhone enthusiast Marc Forrest shared in his blog post a way to clear iOS memory that will make a slow iPhone much faster in the process without resetting the device.
According to him, here's how Apple users should do it.
First, start by unlocking the iOS device. That means the display will be lit, and either the home screen or an app can be shown, but not the lock screen. Second, hold down the power button until the "slide to power off" choice will come out on the gadget's screen. Lastly, let off the power button, and then repress the home button for about five seconds.
By following these simple steps, the device's memory or RAM will be refreshed.
Users may question the fix to be too quick to make some big changes in the device's application, but upon a closer look, it can be noticed that the Apple device has indeed improved.
As the home screen reloads, the user can see the menu bar refresh. This doesn't usually happen when the user taps the home button, unless the user restarts or resets the device.
After that, the user will have to double tap the home button to pull up the device's quick launcher. All the open apps will still emerge to be running in their last viewed state but when tapped, the apps will reload. This means the apps are suspended and are now running again.
