"Once Upon A Time" will be coming back next year to air its 100th episode and the executive producers teases on what fans would expect when season 5 returns next year.
"Once Upon A Time" season 5 episode 11 ended with a shocking twist when the Dark Ones arrived in Storybrooke in order to trade places with the living which send some of the beloved characters to the underworld. In the recap done by International Business Times, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) was already willing to sacrifice herself in order to save her friends, but Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) had other plans in mind. He was able to get the Excalibur from Emma and moved with Nimue (Caroline Ford) and the other Dark Ones. This led Emma to decide to travel to the underworld to find Hook.
Yibada reported that the sources confirm that "Once Upon A Time" season 5 episode 12 will show a big family reunion. It was revealed that Regina's (Lana Parrilla) father Prince Henry (Tony Perez) is set to return to join the other Dark Ones from the underworld. Meanwhile, it was also said that other characters is set to appear for the show's 100th episode like Cora (Barbara Hershey), Sidney Glass (Giancarlo Esposito), the Blind Witch (Patti Allan) and Peter Pan (Robbie Kay).
In an interview, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis revealed that when the show returns next year, the premiere episode will feature another realm including some flashback scenes and also visions. They added that the 100th episode will bring the fans to feel like it is season 1 all over again and when they were asked how they would described the second part of the season, they described it as "hell."
"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will be going for a three month hiatus before they come back for their 100th episode which is confirmed to air on March 6, 2016 on ABC.
