Geoff Ogilvy, the former US Open champion, has reportedly listed his home in Del Mar, Calif., for $6.47 million.
Ogilvy and his wife Juli purchased the residence in 2009 for $4.15 million. Last summer, Juli and their three children moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., the Associated Press reported.
Ogilvy and Juli wanted to keep the home - which is just a few miles from Whisper Rock Golf Club where he went to practice regularly - as a vacation house. Talking to the AP in an earlier interview, he said:
"Whisper Rock is a special place. This is less about Arizona and more about Whisper Rock. It was a hard decision because we love it over here so much. But as soon as we got back, I realized it was the right thing. I get up in the morning, take the kids to school and go to the golf course."
However, looks like they changed their mind. The home is up for sale and Brett Combs of Pacific Shore Platinum is representing the residence, reports The Los Angeles Times.
Listing records of the home state that the place is a 4,633-square-feet single-family house, comprising of four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.
Interiors of the home feature paneled hardwood flooring, French and extra-large glass windows and high ceilings. The multi-wing residence has a formal living area, a dining space and a modern kitchen with granite counter-tops and a mid-rise island.
Outside, the home has a swimming pool with a spa and waterfall features. A large tennis court, ample lounging area and a detached garage are also part of the property.
The listing describes the home as "Stunning Olde Del Mar estate on over a half acre lot with white water ocean views complete with pool and tennis court" adding that it "exudes privacy with its gated entrance and set back from the street."
