Marvel Announces Civil War II Team

The comic series that inspired the film 'Captain America: Civil War" has confirmed its team for the Civil War sequel.

According to ComicBook, Marvel Comics has announced that Civil War 2 is on the way, just in time for its film counterpart's release on May 2016. According to reports, the creative team consists of Brian Michael Bendis and David Marquez, the same people who are working on 'Invisible Iron Man.'

Marvel calendars were sent out to retailers as promotional materials and the Civil War 2 art is on the April 2016, so many are speculating that the comics will be released on the same month, earlier than the expected showing of its prequel. The plot of the 2nd Civil War is yet to be revealed but according to Comicbook, Steve Rogers will not be carrying the title Captain America anymore, and that Sam Wilson will be the one to take on the role. Civil War 1 cinematic counterpart features Captain America battling Iron Man over the Sokovia Accords, with other superheroes joining different sides, while the comic series depicts the two's conflict because of the Superhero Registration Act.

Certainly, the Marvel Cinematic universe is getting even bigger. Marvel Studios has released its complete Phase 2 set last week. The Blue-ray collection features a new clip with concept at that teases the upcoming 3rd phase, including an interview with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. The discs are arranged to form a container shaped like the Morag Orb which Star-Lord stole in Guardians of the Galaxy. Among the movies included in Phase 2 are Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Ant-Man.

Marvel has yet to confirm the release of Civil War 2 comics but its cinematic prequel Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016
