Last Sunday night, HBO gave their fans and viewers an early Christmas present by releasing a teaser promo video of the network's 2016 lineup and that includes the first footage of "Game of Thrones" Season 6.
HBO posted a year-end video via Twitter to celebrate the network's success in 2015 and to show their viewers what is in store for 2016.

A glimpse of "Game of Thrones" showed the main characters wherein Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) is in a new location while Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) seems to be all set for a battle. To top it all, the fans were able to see Cersei Lannister's (Lena Hedley) new short hair. She gives Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) a hug. However, there was no Jon Snow yet in the season footage.
It was just last week that HBO debuted the "Game of Thrones" Season 6 spoiler trailer, however, it did not include any new footage. The spoiler only showed clips from the past season as their way to entice fans and viewers to crave for more.
The 40 second teaser trailer for Season 6 the video clip starts with an image of Jon Snow and the Three-Eyed Raven saying, "We watch, we listen and we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry."
The flashback of the past seasons follows and that includes the famous death scene of Jon Snow (Kit Harrington). And it ends as Bran Stark says, "They have no idea what's going to happen."
Meanwhile, Carice Van Houten, who plays Lady Melissandre, has shared some footages from the GoT set, which confirms that she is filming in the location of The Wall where Jon Snow was last seen. She posted a photo of a bonfire with a caption, "Greetings from Season 6," and a 20-second video of her walking through the rain with a caption, "Off to set."
"Game of Thrones" Season 6 is set to return in April 2016.
