Jimmy Buffet Buys Beverly Hills Party Pad for $8.25 Million

Jimmy Buffet, the "Margaritaville" hitmaker, has reportedly dropped $8.25 million on a plush pad in Beverly Hills.

The Real Estalker Blog, which recently moved to Variety, broke the news of the purchase noting that the two-time Grammy winner quietly purchased the residence in April this year through a blind trust which is connected to Buffet.

The blog also identifies Matt Brubaker, president of home entertainment and theatrical projects firm Trailer Park Inc., as the seller. He purchased the residence in December 2012 for $5.8 million. He reportedly renovated the house later to suit his standards. The residence was listed with Douglas Elliman.

Located in the prestigious Trousdale Estates area, the residence is a 4,322-square-feet single-family residence that comprises of four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Interiors of the home boast of an open floor plan, tiled flooring and high ceilings along with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and slider doors.

Living space includes formal living and sitting rooms, a dining area, a modern gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and custom cabinetry. The place also has several dressing rooms and a study.

Outside, the house has a salt-water lap pool with an attached spa. The home also offers a three-car parking space. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art remote control system and advances security facilities as well.

The listing described the place as "Fully renovated and re-interpreted by a published designer, there is a fantastic open floor plan with walls of glass opening to spectacular city and ocean views" adding that it was an "incredible" and "rare offering."

Buffet owns several other properties in the country including a property that sits right next to Richard Gere and supposedly-estranged-wife Carey Lowell's "Strongheart" manor in North Haven, New York, which is now listed at $56 million.

Jimmy Buffet recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon's "Tonight Show" which is being shot in Universal Studio's Orlando branch. Known for his "Island and party" spirit, the beach bum thanked Fallon for bringing the show to his neighborhood.

Buffet came to the show dressed in neon shorts, a T-shirt and flip-flops. When Fallon asked him if he even owns socks, Buffet tartly replied "why would I?"
