Game publisher Sony has announced on Tuesday a new PlayStation Now subscription intended for the company's avid fans and players. The company said that the new subscription option will be officially rolled out today, Dec. 8 which will allow players to purchase a 12-month streaming service for only $100, a report from Gamespot said.
"We are pleased to announce that starting December 8th, PlayStation Now will offer a limited-time only, 12-Month subscription for $99.99. This special offer will provide savings of more than 55% off the regular monthly subscription price. For less than $9 per month, you can now get access to hundreds of PS3 games, with new games added every month. If you're a current PlayStation Now subscriber, you can purchase the 12-Month Subscription on PlayStation Store to extend your current 1-Month or 3-Month subscription," Sony said in a statement as posted on the PlayStation Blog
According to the report, Sony claims that this new subscription "represents savings of more than 55 percent compared to if you renewed at the regular one-month rate." It was said that PlayStation Now members can actually buy a new package if they want to extend their current subscription to a one-year interval.
Aside from the recently announced subscription, the company has also added new games that will form part of the PlayStation Now's Library. Listed below are the Warner Bros. games, according to Gamespot.
- Batman: Arkham Asylum
- Batman: Arkham Origins
- Injustice: Gods Among Us
- Mortal Kombat
- F.E.A.R (single-player campaign mode only)
- The Lego Movie Video Game
- Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4
- Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7
- Lego Batman: The Video Game
