The tragic future for the CW series "The Vampire Diaries" already fires up in the ratings. One of the recent news is that the show just dropped a 33% on its number ratings and Youth Health Magazine specified that episode 17 of the show entitled "Mommie Dearest" was the lowest ratings the show has ever got at 1.10 million.
Meanwhile, news of Nina Dobrev's return on the show intensifies as she is believed to be the show's hope to increase viewership. But as the ex-TVD actress mentioned previously, the notion of her coming back from the show is far from reality. The actress even claimed that her time on the show was like a learning ground same as "high school" and now wants to level up her career on a more serious note.
"I made the difficult decision last season to leave," she admitted. "I always knew that I'd signed up for a certain amount of time and I fulfilled it,
"I had a great experience, but everything has to come to an end and this was my time. It's like high school, you do four years and then you move onto the college," Dobrev said according to Youth Health Mag based from Interview Magazine.
Apart from this, Celebrity Dirty Laundry says that Ian Somerhalder is also one of the reasons why Dobrev would not want to go back on "The Vampire Diaries" show.
"Nina Dobrev won't work with Ian Somerhalder ever again, even if it means "The Vampire Diaries" gets cancelled. Even though "TVD" is sinking faster than the Titanic right now, Nina just can't even stomach working with Ian again and refuses to be on set with her former flame," based from the outlet.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 run creatively projected a different storyline to redirect the story out of Dobrev's character Elena Gilbert. Somerhalder even commented in the past that even if Dobrev wasn't in the lineup of characters anymore, the story still did go on smoothly. But the real question is, will the ratings keep up with this pace in the future? Will "The Vampire Diaries" reached an eighth season mark even if the ratings are low and Dobrev will never return?
