Chris Brown, the "Don't Wake Me Up" hitmaker, has reportedly sold two of his properties in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles for a total deal worth $3.29 million in an effort to sever ties with all "bad influences" in his life.
Brown has been in a lot of controversy of late. He was struggling with alcohol and temper issues and only recently got out of prison after serving three months. He was in custody since March this year for evading a court-ordered rehab and his jail time was extended for parole violation and getting involved into a fight with a commoner in Washington D.C.
Brown also got into real estate controversy as the graffiti on the outer walls of his Hollywood Hills home, the one he just sold, scared kids and disturbed neighbors. Though the "Loyal" singer defended the graffiti claiming it was art and that it highlighted his "aesthetic tastes," the court had him paint over the blob-monsters-with-sharp-teeth-and-big-eyes graffiti.
Brown did take off the spray paints and decided to move on. He has already sworn that he will never return to his bad ways again and this could be a good start. However, the Virginia-based musician didn't make any profit from the deals.
The Graffiti Home
Brown purchased the home for $1.5 million in 2011. The residence has been designed by Jay Vanos and is an ultra luxury pad. Done up in avant-garde style the home spans an area of 3,000 square feet. The three-level residence has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. A private elevator gives access to all the floors including the garage.
The residence is now under escrow for $1.75 million but sources told TMZ that along with taxes and other stuff, he won't make any profit on the sale.

The West Hollywood Penthouse
Brown purchased the penthouse condo atop the Fountain Avenue building for $1.6 million in 2011. He first listed it for $1.8 million but brought the price down to $1.69 million. Now, the folks at TMZ are reporting that he sold it off for about the same price he paid to purchase it.
The "Love More" singer lived in the penthouse before he moved to the Hollywood Hills house. Even there he got into trouble with neighbors after they complained of his crazy lifestyle and late night partying.
The condo takes up an area of 3,100 square feet, comprising of 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. It has a spacious kitchen with quartz counters, stainless steel appliances and bamboo floors.
