Game Developer SNK Playmore showcased a brand new trailer for "The King of Fighters XIV" while attending the 2015 PlayStation Experience. The new trailer confirms fighters Billy Kane, Kula, King, Angel, and Ralf.
Before 2015 PSX, fighters Andy Bogard, Leona Heidern, Chang Koehan, Kyo Kusanagi, and Iori Yagami have already been confirmed part of the "The King of Fighters XIV" roster of fighters, according to Gematsu. For those who were not able to attend the 2015 PlayStation Experience, SNK Playmore has provided more details for the upcoming fighting game in the PlayStation Blog.
SNK Playmore assures fans of the fighting game that the upcoming "The King of Fighters XIV" will still have the classic three-on-three team battle game system that the 2D gameplay has been known for, even if the latest game has evolved into 3D graphics. Furthermore, the company announces that a variety of new multiplayer modes will be introduced. An example of which is the Party Battle mode where up to six players can play VS Online Party Battle.
Besides the confirmed fighters, there will be a roster of 50 fighters. That is a huge selection for the first chapter of a brand new "King of Fighters saga." The big list will include returning fighters and the new faces involved in the storyline. The new storyline will continue from the KOF series' Orochi, Nests, and Ash story arcs.
SNK Playmore also shares the trailer video with those who were not able to come to the PlayStation event physically. You can watch it below and have a peek at the upcoming new "The King of Fighters" game.
"The King of Fighters XIV," directed by Yasuyuki Oda, will be exclusively be released on PlayStation 4 in 2016. More exciting details of the game are promised to be revealed in the coming months.
