'Girl Meets World' Season 3 Already In The Works; Set To Premiere In Spring 2016?

Disney Channel's "Girl Meets World" Season 2 has already ended last Friday for the mid-season break with the episode entitled, "Girl Meets The New Year." Riley, Lucas, and Maya's relationship blew out of proportion and fans could only wait until January to see how things will unfold for everyone.

But for some good news, according to CarterMatt, the show's writing staff has already started working on "Girl Meets World" season 3. This news is confirmed via the Twitter account of "Girl Meets Writers."

The Twitter post says, "Today: The first day of Season 3. We're ready."

With more stories to tell, the show's renewal is a good opportunity for the show to offer more and satisfy the cravings of its fans. Meanwhile, "Girl Meets World" writers pointed out that there are still more episodes to look forward to with Season 2.

As they wrote on Twitter, "A season of friendship complete. 4 left in a season of growth. Then a season of feelings. GMWJanuary: Riley at war/Mark Cuban brings peace."

Christian Post shared that the production is set to begin as early as January 2016 and in the upcoming season it is expected to see the characters to take on their journey as they enter high school life.

In the third season, Riley, played by Rowan Blanchard and her best friend Maya, who is played by Sabrina Carpenter, are expected to deal with more mature issues as they enter a new chapter in their lives. New characters are set to join them including Farkle, played by Corey Fogelmanis, and Lucas, portrayed by Peyton Meyer.

According to WaitWith.US, it comes as no surprise that "Girl Meets World" will come back for the third season given that it is rated as "number one series in terms of total viewers across all Kids Cable TV Networks."

Meanwhile, When Will website reported that "Girl Meets World" Season 3 is set to premiere in spring 2016.
