Anna Duggar will reportedly appear in the new "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff on TLC titled "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" wherein she will speak about the controversy regarding Josh Duggar.
The show is expected to focus more on Jessa Duggar Seewald’s pregnancy and Jill Duggar Dillard’s mission trip but as Anna appears on it, family members think that she shouldn't be on the show and looks at it as inappropriate.
It is said that the show is "turning into a circus" and that the “family members are disagreeing with a lot of what they are doing,” an insider revealed according to ET Online.
Reports also reveal that "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" is seemingly exploiting Anna for letting her speak about her husband's cheating just to get the ratings up. It is also said that Anna's involvement in the show will help her with her financial problems while Josh is still in rehab, Inquisitr reported.
A promo video features an emotional Anna while talking about the scandal. She is seen looking down as if in the midst of a break down. "It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened," Anna said as quoted by Hollywood Life. Aside from Anna, Jill and Jessa will also talk about the controversy in their new show.
Because of Anna's appearance, other family members are boycotting the show by not doing any special appearance on "Jill & Jessa: Counting On." It is revealed that the Duggar family members have “chosen not to participate in the special out of respect to the serious ordeal the family has been going through in the last months.”
Meanwhile, Jim Bob Duggar, Jill and Jessa's father wasn't very happy about the new show especially that he isn't part of it.
“He absolutely wanted to be back on TV and was never thrilled about the show suddenly shifting focus,” a Duggar family insider said according to People. However, Jim and Michelle will most likely do a guest appearance.
The Duggar family's reaction with Anna's appearance is understandable since it is merely reminding them of the controversy that had a huge impact in their lives and even caused the cancellation of their reality TV show,19 Kids and Counting.
