"Far Cry Primal" is another exciting game from Ubisoft featuring protagonist Takkar who will have the ability to work with animals and tame them.
Takkar is a hunter who can control the actions as well as acquire the affection of animals around him. He lives sometime 12,000 years ago from our present time. Animals around him include bears, wolves, sabre-toothed tigers, honey badgers and others. Instead of guns, the animal that is currently escorting Takkar will be the form of offence and protection.
He can ask the animal to attack another animal or other humans as well. But like other Far Cry games, the gamer needs to be careful and strategize prior to the attack. Because Takkar can control animals, he can ride on a mammoth and even tame wolves.
A bird can also be controlled by Takkar. For instance, an owl can be used to steer around and over an enemy's encampment so the player will get a fore knowledge and information before attacking. The owl can drop fire bombs on the enemies too, Digital Trends reported.
But if a player decides to go alone without an animal escort, Takkar has basic weapons that include crude spears, blunt clubs and a bow and arrow. A target will be killed with a headshot while some more shots might be needed depending on the enemy. The spear can be used like a javelin that can target an enemy from a distance and it can also be set ablaze too. A player needs to have a good strategy because of the limited weapons.
"The setting is interesting enough to make us curious to play more, though, which is more than you can say about a lot of franchises that have been doing the rounds for as long as this one has," VG247 wrote.
Ubisoft has also recently announced the “Deluxe Edition” of the game was recently announced by Ubisoft that features extra missions centered on the mammoth and the unbreakable “Blood Shasti” club.
"Far Cry Primal" is developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Toronto which will be launched for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 23, 2016. Meanwhile, a PC release will follow on March 1.
