Julia Roberts to be Cast in American Horror Story Along with Niece Emma Roberts?

Some people might be able to predict that the American Horror Story's creator, Ryan Murphy, casts people whom he has worked with before. Just ask former Glee and now Scream Queens star Lea Michele, or former Glee guest stars Matt Bomer (who also played a role in Murphy’s The Normal Heart), and Neil Patrick Harris who has both starred in American Horror Story -- Harris in Freak Show and Bomer in both Freak Show and Hotel.

Actress Emma Roberts also had the same fate, after casting roles in two seasons of American Horror Story, namely Coven and Freak Show, then starring in a lead role in another Murphy creation called Scream Queens. According to an interview with E! News, Roberts doesn’t blame that her famous Auntie, Julia Roberts, does not want to be cast in the horror anthology.

Even though Julia Roberts is a good friend of Murphy, even casting her as a doctor who has polio in the AIDS-centered movie “The Normal Heart,” she has said that she’s not interested in being a part of the series. According to Perez Hilton, Julia Roberts had said, "I'll tell you why—because I can't even get through the commercials. I am the most fitful scaredy cat. When the first American Horror Story came out, remember the first poster? I said to him, 'OK, I curse you. I stop at a traffic light and I have to look at that thing on billboards. It gives me the willies. What is that? What is going on? What have you done?'" She added, "Ryan was like, 'Oh, lady—you won't even get through the commercials.' I'm like, there's no way."

Even though she doesn’t like the series, she still supports her niece, saying, "I try to support my Emma, but I don't like it." So we guess that there is really no way, but it would be fun seeing the “Pretty Woman” actress playing a role in the series.
