Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd were nominated Monday in the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. The three are all up for Album of the Year, against Alabama Shakes and Chris Stapleton. Nominated for Record of the Year are: Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face," along with "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran, and "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson.
"Bad Blood", a collaboration of Swift and Lamar, is nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Vying for the Best New Artist Award according to TV Guide news are Courtney Barnett, James Bay, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly and Meghan Trainor.

Mr. Lamar's album "To Pimp a Butterfly," was one of the year's most popular releases that garnered nine awards, more than any other act, as announced by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Science on Monday. "To Pimp a Butterfly," was nominated for album of the year, and "Alright" for song of the year.
Taylor Swift was nominated seven times for "1989" which made her a pop-culture juggernaut, is up for best pop vocal album and album of the year. The New York Times news said her "Black Space" is up for both song and record of the year.
The 25-year-old Canadian musician, Abel Tesfaye of The Weeknd, received seven nods for "Beauty Behind the Madness," the album that made him a pop star. Abel Tesfaye scored nominations in both pop and R&B genre categories; including best pop solo performance for "Cant' Feel My Face" and best R&B performance for "Earned It."
Among the odder contestants this year is Seth MacFarlane, who will compete against Bob Dylan, Josh Groban, Barry Manilow, and the formidable duo of Tony Bennett and Bill Charlap.
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will recognize music released between Oct. 1, 2014 and Sep. 30, 2015, meaning Adele and her record-breaking album "25" are not eligible yet for this year.
