Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham Buys in Brentwood Again for $6.95 Million

Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist and vocalist of rock band "Fleetwood Mac", has "gone another mile" and purchased another residence in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles for $6.9 million, making it his third property in the area.

The Trulia Blog broke the news of the purchase noting that David Offer of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services was the listing agent. Offer is one of the acclaimed realtors of the area and he is also representing Reese Witherspoon's recently-listed Brentwood Circle property.

According to the Real Estalker (at Variety), Buckingham already owns an 8,051-square-feet, six bedroom-nine bathroom home in the area, for which he paid $6.6 million in 2004. This house was featured in Elle Décor where Buckingham and his wife Kristin opened up about the renovations and why they loved the home.

An excerpt:

"We used to be on the second floor, very high up looking down at the city," she said. "It was a beautiful view, but it often felt kinetic and unrestful." As the sun starts to set, Kristen opens the door to the terrace from the bedroom, the sounds of her kids playing outside filling the room. "This is what we wanted-to feel connected to our surroundings."

In 2012, Buckingham closed on another property near his house for $5.8 million. That residence is a 2,958-square-feet five bedroom-three bathroom home.

Now, his latest purchase is a 5,680-square-feet single-family house, comprising of six bedrooms and five bathrooms - all sitting on a 27,000-square-feet lot.

Trulia calls the house "outdated by its standards", but notes that the home has spacious room all done up in 1940's architectural style. It boasts of hardwood flooring, crown moldings and French doors and windows.

Living space includes a formal living room with a fireplace and an office or study. The kitchen sports custom built-ins and checkered tile flooring. The master bath has a soaking tub.

The home has large open courtyards. There is a pool in the backyard. In the front, the home has a garden and fountain. Ample parking space is also available on the property.

The listing described the house as a "Gracious 2-storey traditional home" that was "awaiting a new owners' touch." And it got a great new owner too!

The Band, "Fleetwood Mac", rose to fame in the late 1960s with the song "Albatross". Like other bands, the group saw many ups and downs too. The band broke up in 1987 and regrouped in 1997.

Apart from his stint with the band, Buckingham has also recorded many solo albums like "Law and Order" and the most recent "One Man Show" in 2012.

Buckingham has one son and two daughters with wife Kirsten. She is an interior designer.
