Castle Season 8 Spoilers: A Mystery Twist on Rick’s Missing Connection to Kate

The ABC drama is set to revisit the months-long mystery disappearance of Rick. Rick's disappearance which began prior to his wedding - was due to Bilal Khan, who broke away from Al-Qaeda to turn himself over to American Intelligence. Bilal surrendered himself to trusted classmate who turned high profile author Rick Castle, who is wanted in Thailand asap.

After helping his country evade a terrorist attack, Castle's memories were erased, and upon his disappearance, he was found months later, adrift on a boat and unable to account for his absence.

The next chapter will possibly involve Rick's wife in unexpected ways as there was a talk over the summer that the new showrunners hoped to explore connection between Rick and his wife Kate, as reported by TV Line news.

"We haven't nailed the story down for it," Hawley says, "but we do like the idea that something that Castle came across during his missing time is actually why his memory was wiped - and it wasn't necessarily about the reason we showed in Season 7. And it does have something to do with Beckett. But we haven't nailed it all the way down yet."

While Season 7 kicked off last year with the disappearance of Rick Castle played by Nathan Fillion, episode 1 of Season 8 started with Kate Beckett played by Stana Katic, who was involved in a fatal shooting and now on the run.

Season 8 of the ABC drama, titled "XY," began with a man at a nightclub who confronted an attractive woman who followed him throughout the day. The woman admits and stabs him in the stomach.

Alexis, played by Molly C. Quinn, is the daughter of Rick Castle. Being a college student, she helps a lot in making the Castle's business grow as she is already solving cases for her dad. IB Times news said Esposito played by Jon Huertas and Ryan played Seamus Dever are investigating a murder and invite Castle to come along with them.

The investigation of the murder reveals a pool of blood where they were shock to see Beckett's new bracelet.
